To change the flash duration for
a particular transmitter, remove
the transmitter from the mains
socket and, while pressing in
the Personal Call button, plug
the transmitter back into the
socket. To switch back to 28
seconds remove the transmit-
ter from the socket and plug
back in again this time without
pressing the Personal Call but-
ton.
Doorbell connection
Plug the transmitter into a con-
venient mains socket. Plug the
2.5 mm jack plug of the door-
bell cable into the socket at the
underside of the transmitter.
Lay the cable to the bell push
or door chime. Connect both
wires to the screw contacts of
the bell push or door chime.
Warning
The Transmitter is only desi-
gned to work with low voltage
doorbells.
Do not connect the thin
doorbell cable to the mains
supply. This could be extre-
mely dangerous for the user
and may destroy the trans-
mitter.
The doorbell voltage must be
at least 3 Volts and must not
exceed 15 Volts. Both AC and
DC can be used.
10 English
Pressing your doorbell will now
cause each receiver to flash
with the corresponding number
of flashes.
A second doorbell may be con-
nected into the remaining door-
bell socket. The receiver will
flash differently for doorbell 1
and doorbell 2.
Installation to an intercom
system
If your intercom is capable of
differentiating between 2 diffe-
rent door chimes (e.g. the door
to your flat and the entrance
door to the building), you can
convey the 2 door chimes to
the transmitter using 2 connec-
tion cables. The correct assign-
ment of the connecting cables
to the intercom system is very
important. It is recommended
that you contact a qualified
electrician and take note of the
previous paragraph on connec-
ting doorbells.
Failure causes
- You did not press the doorbell
for long enough. Ring the bell
for longer.
- If your doorbell system uses
direct current voltage, you have
not connected the wires with
the correct polarity. Swap over
the wires.
