Do not use any aluminium foil. This might result in the device overheating!
Do not place food that is wrapped in cling fi lm or plastic bags in or on the device.
Bread and baked items can catch fi re. You should therefore empty and thoroughly
clean the roll toaster after each use.
Do not toast any bread or pastries that are buttered or covered with sugar or other
spreads or toppings which might melt. The device could be damaged by food which
has melted or catch fi re!
Only use suitable baked items on the roll toaster. Do not toast any extremely dry
baked goods such as crispbread as they can easily catch fi re.
Always check the device for damage before putting it into operation. Only use it if the
device, mains cable and plug have no signs of damage!
Avoiding Damage to Material, Property and the Device
Always place the device on a dry, fl at and fi rm surface that is not sensitive to heat .
Maintain suffi cient clearance from other sources of heat such as hotplates or stoves
in order to avoid damage to the device.
Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, strong temperature fl uctuations,
direct sunlight or moisture.
Do not drop the device or allow it to be knocked violently.
Do not pull or carry the device by the mains cable. Always pull the plug, never the
cable, to remove the mains plug from the plug socket.
Make sure that the mains cable is not squashed, bent or laid over sharp edges and
does not come into contact with hot surfaces.
Only the accessory parts supplied by the manufacturer should be used. If accessory
parts which are not authorised by the manufacturer are used, all warranty and guar-
antee claims are void.
Only use heat-resistant utensils to place and remove the food. Keep metal objects or
other sharp objects away from the device. These objects could damage the surfaces
of the plates.
Do not place food wrapped in cling fi lm or plastic bags into the device.
Never spray cold water onto the baking surfaces during or immediately after the use
of the device. This could damage the ceramic coating!
Do not use any caustic or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the device. These can
damage the surface.
Notes on Hygiene
The device should be cleaned before you use it for the fi rst time. It is possible that
production residues may still be adhering to the surfaces. It is essential that you fol-
low the cleaning instructions in the "Before Initial Use" chapter.
Clean the device after each use to prevent germ formation (see the "Cleaning and
Storage" chapter).
Keep the device clean.
