1 – INTRODUCTION
BOREAL 20 features 10 direct access memory keys, 10 two touch memory locations, group
listening amplified speaker and full duplex speakerphone.
A message waiting lamp indicates incoming calls and blinks or lights steadily when a message is
waiting for the user (this will only work on some PBXs).
BOREAL 20 is also fitted with a data port for use with a personal computer or a portable fax.
A LCD will display time, the called party number and the elapsed call duration.

2 - INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Dialling mode can be selected with a switch located on the right side of the telephone.
When pushed to FV, tone dialling is selected. When pushed to DC, pulse dialling is selected.
NOTE: When dialling in the pulse mode, depressing key # or * automatically switches to tone
dialling, giving access from a pulse PABX to tone systems. When returning to on-hook, the
telephone automatically turns back to pulse mode.
3 - RINGER
High-low switch-off is located on the right of the telephone.

Ringer tone switch is located on the right of the telephone.
4 – SPEAKERPHONE OPERATION
You can make or receive calls "handsfree" by pressing
button. The indicator lamp will light
during speakerphone operation.
Adjust the volume of your distant party's voice by using the sliding switch located on the right side
of the telephone. Press
button again when the conversation is over.
NOTE: Picking up the handset during speakerphone mode will automatically turn off the
speakerphone mode and the indicator lamp will be switched off.
You may return to speakerphone mode by pressing
button again and replacing the handset on-
hook.
