7 – MODEM CONNECTION
A data port is located on the top of the unit. The cabling inside of the telephone allows the data port
to be connected directly on the same line as the telephone.
8 – MESSAGE WAITING LAMP
Located on the front panel of the telephone, it blinks with each incoming call even when the ringer
switch is on ֠ position.
When connected to some PBXs, it can also blink or light steadily when a message is waiting for the
user.
NOTE: Only PBX's fitted with alternative ringing current or high voltage direct current message
waiting systems will activate the BOREAL 10 message waiting lamp.
9 – CLOCK SETTING
Access to clock-setting keys is located below the memory keys label.
1 – Press PROGRAM key to select hours setting.
2 – Press MODE key to adjust hours.
3 – Press PROGRAM key again to select minutes setting.
4 – Press MODE key to adjust minutes.
5 – Press PROGRAM key again to exit-time setting.
10 – HOUR-FLASH SETTING
A switch for choice of 100 or 270 ms hook-flash duration is available next to the data port.
11 – HANDSET-HEADSET SWITCH
If you wish to replace the handset by a headset, use the switch located below the memory keys
label. When this switch is placed in the headset position, the
hang-up a call without picking up the handset for more convenience.
