Maintenance and Service
Maintenance and Cleaning
Before any work on the machine itself, pull
the mains plug.
For safe and proper working, always keep the
machine and ventilation slots clean.
A damaged dust protection cap should be
changed immediately. We recommend having
this carried out by an after-sales service.
Clean the tool holder 1 each time after using.
Changing the Filter Element (see figure N)
In order to maintain the filter performance, the filter ele-
ment 23 of the dust box 9 must be changed after
approx. 15 operating hours.
For removal of the dust box 9, push the two unlocking
buttons 11 and pull the dust box downward out of the
dust extraction 14.
Remove the filter element 23 upward and insert a new
filter element.
Reinsert the dust box into the dust extraction 14 from
below again until it can be heard to engage.
Note: If the filter element 23 is damaged (e.g. holes,
damage to the soft sealing material), it must be
replaced immediately. Working with a damaged filter
element can cause damage to the power tool.
Also replace the filter element 23 when the vacuuming
performance is insufficient, even when the dust box 9 is
empty.
WARNING! Important instructions for connecting
a new 3-pin plug to the 2-wire cable.
The wires in the cable are coloured according to the fol-
lowing code:
Do not connect the blue or brown wire to the earth ter-
minal of the plug.
Important: If for any reason the moulded plug is
removed from the cable of this power tool, it must be
disposed of safely.
If the machine should fail despite the care taken in man-
ufacturing and testing procedures, repair should be
carried out by an after-sales service centre for Bosch
power tools.
In all correspondence and spare parts order, please
always include the 10-digit article number given on the
type plate of the machine.
