Fitting
Fixed Window with round corners:
It is possible to fit the window in a slightly curved wall. A curve of
maximum 3 cm. per metre is possible. With a high window more than
30 cm.high, the curve should be less, or completely flat.

Fit the aluminium window frame in a completely flat surface only!
Hinged Window:
Fit the aluminium window frame in a completely flat surface only!
If fitted in a curved surface, the hinges will be overloaded!
Slide and Drop Windows:
Fit the aluminium window frame in a completely flat surface only!
The window will jam or slide badly in a curved surface!
Cutting the Hole
The window hole is usually made beforehand. If not, draw the hole
using the (modified if necessary) mould from which the window was
made.Cut out the hole. Remove burrs and smooth the edges.

Comfort and exclusive range:
The windows of the comfort and exclusive range are fixed through a
clamp construction. Holes for fixing screws do not have to be drilled
in the wall in which the window is fitted.
The window frame already has a rubber. Do not apply any sealant!
• Fit the window in the hole (from the outside!); the backplate must
first be carefully removed.
• Fit the backplate (on the inside!). If required, use a rubber or plas-
tic-faced hammer to tap the backplate into the frame. During fit-
ting, press the backplate against the frame regularly.
• When pressing on the outside, apply pressure to the frame and
NOT the glass! Sliding windows must be fitted in the closed posi-
tion.
Screw-on range:
The windows of the screw-on range are fastend from the outside.
These windows are supplied with a foam rubber (inseal) for a water-
tight installation. Do not apply any sealant!
• Do not apply the foam rubber yet!
• Place the window (from the outside!) in the opening; mark where
the holes for the fixing screws, remove the window and pre-drill
the holes.
• Attach the foam rubber to the window, place the window in the
opening and secure with the screws.
• When pressing on the outside, apply pressure to the frame and
NOT the glass! Sliding windows must be fitted in the closed posi-
tion.
For a window with round corners: Fit the backplate, starting with
the seam. Do not tighten up the screws until at least 3 corners of the
backplate are clamped in the window profile. This will avoid fitting
problems with the third or fourth corner.

Maintenance
• Clean the anodized or powder coated aluminium profiles regu-
larly: 2 to 4 times a year, depending on how dirty they are.
• Use only neutral cleaning agents. NEVER use alkaline, acid and/or
abrasive cleaners.
• After cleaning, apply a thin coat of transparent wax for protection.
• Protect the hinged window sealing rubbers with talcum powder.
Sliding Windows: Keep the running channel free of sand, dirt
and algae; spray 1 to 2 times a year with silicon spray. Check
regularly to see whether the drain holes are open.
