3. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
3.1) Setting
With the tool in rest position
– Insert the conductor between the blades at the desired cutting point.
For a running conductor, remove the locking pin (37) and open the tool head.
Warning: opening the upper blade must be done only when the tool is in rest position (lower blade
completely retracted).
– With the conductor on the lower blade (22), close the tool head and fully insert the locking pin
(37).
Before carrying out further cutting operations make sure the locking pin is completely inserted: a
partial insertion may damage the tool head.
3.2) Blade advancement
– Set the tool in the release position
The moveable handle (202) will be released and the main handle will rotate automatically to the
operating position
– Operate moveable handle (202) for lower blade advancement.
This fi rst stage rapidly closes the lower blade (22 and 26) to the conductor.
Make sure that blades are exactly positioned on desired cutting point, otherwise re-open blades
following instructions as § 3.4 and position the conductor again.
3.3) Cutting
– Continue operating the moveable handle, the lower blade advances gradually until the conductor
is fully cut.
3.4) Blade retraction
– Rotate main handle clockwise to release position
Completely close handles and the lower blade will retract.
3.5) Rest setting
– Completely retract the ram as § 3.4.
– Keeping the handles completely closed, release the fi xed handle which will rotate automatically
to the rest position

– Store the tool in the plastic case.
