UK | 4 Safety instructions and warnings
Read and observe the safety in-
structions. Ask your specialist installer
to instruct you in how to use the venti-
lation units/operating units.
Risks for people (includ-
ing children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or a lack of know-
ledge.  Ventilation unit may
only be installed, commissioned,
cleaned and maintained by peo-
ple who can safely recognise
and avoid the risks associated
with this work .
Risk to health if filters are not re-
placed or if there are no air filters.
Heavily contaminated or damp air filters may
collect substances hazardous to health
(mould, germs etc.). This may also happen if
the ventilation unit is not used for an extended
period. If there are no air filters, the ventilation
unit becomes dirty. Unfiltered substances may
enter the rooms.
 Never operate ventilation unit without air
filters.
 Only use original filters.
 Recommendation: continuous operation.
 Observe filter change display. Clean air
filter every 2 to 3 months (e.g. with a vacuum
cleaner) and replace after 6 months (approx.
4000 operating hours) at the latest.
 If the ventilation unit has not been used for
a long time, always replace the air filters.
Risk to health if ventilation unit is
not correctly cleaned.
 Clean the ventilation unit regularly, at
least every 2 years. This is the only way of
ensuring that the ventilation unit is running
hygienically.

pull out/slide in. Ensure that you are standing
securely and cannot lose your balance and
that there is no one under the unit.
 When removing and installing the slide-in
module, support it from below with a hand.
Danger of injury when working at
heights.
 Use appropriate climbing aids (ladders).
Stability should be ensured, if necessary have
the ladders steadied by a 2nd person.
 Ensure that you are standing securely and
cannot lose your balance and that there is no
one under the unit.
Danger of injury when handling hous-
ing parts with sharp edges, e.g.
stainless steel external covers
Wear protective gloves.
Electric shock from water ingress if
used in protection zones. Units/cont-
rols not suited for outdoor use.
 Protect ventilation units/controls from mois-
ture and wetness.
 Use RLS/DS controls only outside protecti-
on zones 0, 1 and 2.

outside of protection zone 0. Use PPB 30 RC
