FINAL TESTS

After installation, verify correct operation with a complete test.
Mode " AND " :
−
• Check interruption of a single cell of two cells: no triggering.
• Check interruption of the two cells: intrusion alarm.
•
Prolonged interruption of the 2 cells for a period of time longer than 1 min.: disqualification
alarm.
Mode " OR " : (BIRIS II 100 & 200 only)
−
• Check interruption of the top cell: intrusion alarm.
• Check interruption of the bottom cell: intrusion alarm.
•
Prolonged interruption of one of the 2 cells for a period of time longer than 1 min. :
disqualification alarm.
Mode " AND/OR " : (BIRIS II 100 & 200 only)

• Check interruption of one of the two cells for a period of time less than 1.5 s.: no triggering
• Check interruption of the two cells: intrusion alarm.
• Check interruption of the bottom cell for longer than 1.5 s. : intrusion alarm.
• Prolonged interruption of the two cells for a period of time longer than 1 min.: disqualification
alarm.
• Prolonged interruption of the bottom cell for a period of time longer than 1 min.: disqualification
alarm.
Mode " SYNCHRO " : (BIRIS II 100 & 200 only)

• Interruption test of one of the four cells: no triggering.
• Check interruption of two adjacent cells: intrusion alarm.
• Prolonged interruption of one of the 4 cells for a period of time longer than 1 min. :
disqualification alarm.
• If interruption of bottom beam selected: Check interruption of the bottom cell for longer than
1.5 s. : intrusion alarm.

PERIODIC MAINTENANCE

To ensure proper performance over time, minimum maintenance should be performed :
• Clean the infrared cove of each module at least once a year, (or more often depending on
exposure to foreign elements and grime).
• Repeat the final tests (once per year).
