Only make size corrections on
the precision boring tool when
the electronics are switched
on. Failure to do this will
result in an undefined cutting edge
position and the precision boring tool
will have to be readjusted using an
adjusting device.

Battery replacement
The two integrated batteries have a ser-
vice life of approx. 5500 setting cycles.
We recommend having spare batteries
available at all times. When the "Low
battery" symbol appears on the display,
the batteries will last for about another
50 setting cycles. When the "Low bat-
tery" display flashes, the batteries are
empty and must be replaced. When
changing the batteries, the gasket in the
0
access cover
must be inspected and
replaced in case of damage to prevent
the penetration of coolant into the bat-
tery compartment.

This precision boring tool must only be
operated with batteries of the following
specification:
VARTA V392 SR 41 Silver oxide / Zinc /
KOH-Electrolyte.
Only these batteries have been tested with
regard to high centrifugal forces.
Please dispose of old batteries properly.

5. Maintenance
No maintenance!
To ensure the tool has a long service life, it
must be cleaned after use. A light film of
oil should be applied to the visible,
uncoated steel parts from time to time.
Replace the batteries as required.
