AV amplifier
¶
Connect this player's audio output jacks to an amp's CD, LD, AUX or other audio input jacks. (Do not connect to PHONO jacks.)

Connect this player's video output jack to the amplifier's or receiver's video input jack.
¶
When connecting to a digital output, refer to page 70.
When connecting to a component bearing the Pioneer Î mark.
¶
If you use a commercially available cord with mini plugs (no resistance) to connect this player's control input jack to the control
output jack of the component bearing the Î mark, you can control the player as though it were a component in a system
(system control).
¶
If you connect for system control, you cannot operate the player directly by pointing the remote control at it and pressing
buttons.
¶
When controlling the unit as part of a system, be sure to connect to the amplifier with audio cord even if you are using only
digital components.(System control is not possible if you connect using only cables with mini plugs.)
¶
If your AV amplifier is a Dolby Pro Logic decoder, you can enjoy surround sound.
