13.21 Gearbox
For the user, the gearbox is maintenance-
free.
During the inspections of the machine by
the specialist dealer, the required
maintenance operations are performed on
the gearbox.
13.22 Storage
Before putting the machine into storage,
the section "For your safety" and
especially the section "Storage for
prolonged periods of inoperation" must be
carefully read and observed. (
The place of storage should be dry and
free of dust. The machine should also be
stored out of reach of children.
Any machine faults must be remedied prior
to storage in order to maintain a safe
operating condition.
Close the fuel cock prior to storage.
Remove the ignition key and keep in a
place where no unauthorised persons,
especially children, can access it.
13.23 Extended periods of inoperation
(e.g. winter break)
Note the following points when
immobilising the ride-on mower for
long periods:
– Carefully clean all external parts of the
engine and machine, in particular the
cooling ribs.
– Thoroughly lubricate/grease all moving
parts.
– Remove the fuel from the fuel tank and
carburettor (e.g. by running empty).
– Engage the parking brake. (
116
– Observe the information in the engine
instruction manual.
– Perform an engine oil change (engine
instruction manual). (
– Disconnect the battery. (
– Store the battery safely in fully-charged
condition, in a cool and dry room.

11.5 V, fully recharge the battery
using a battery charger before

installation.
Note the following points after long
periods of inoperation:
– Check the battery voltage before
installing the battery.

13.25 Tyre pressure
Correct tyre pressure is an
important prerequisite for alignment
of the mowing deck and
consequently for achieving a clean
cutting pattern.
Moreover, the turf may be damaged
by the tyre studs in the case of
excessively high tyre pressure.
Remove the cap from the valve (1).
● Inflate the tyres to the following tyre
pressures using a suitable air pump.
Front tyres:
0.9 - 1.2 bar
Rear tyres:
0.7 - 1.0 bar
