Addition of door / window contacts (optional)
The CA 300 can be expanded by adding up to max. 6 pcs
reedcontacts (normally closed (NC) magnet contact e.g. MK
01). The contacts can be used to monitor doors or windows
which are closed before the system is armed. The contacts
cannot be used on doors through which you must pass on
entering or leaving the protected area, as the alarm zone
has a short entry/exit delay of maximum 8 seconds.
Remove very carefully the white insulation over a length
of approx. 25 mm along the cable to the PIR (see Fig. K).
Cut through the yellow wire and connect the
reedcontact(s) in series using a 2-core cable.
Use insulating tape to insulate the wires from each other
and to insulate the exposed cable.
Operation
"Arming" (activating) the compact alarms system
Press key 1 on the keypad R twice. You have now
entered the user code (factory setting 11).
Then press key E on the keypad R once. You have
now confi rmed the user code.
Exit delay
The compact alarm system emits a pip sound, the LED W
(green) illuminates for approx. 30 seconds. For the period of
the exit delay of approx. 30 seconds you may cross the de-
tection range of the motion detector without triggering the
alarm of the compact alarm system.
If motion is detected during the exit delay period then you
will hear a short pip sound and the 30 second exit delay will
restart. After the exit delay has expired the LED W (green)
goes out. The system is armed / activated.
"Disarming" (deactivating) the compact alarm system
Entry delay
If the motion detector detects a motion then you will hear a short
pip sound and an entry delay of approx. 8 seconds is activated.
Assembly and installation / Operation
You have to enter the user code within the period of the
entry delay to disarm the device.
Press key 1 on the keypad R twice. You have entered
the user code (factory setting 11).
Then press key E on the keypad R once. You have
now confi rmed the user code.
The compact alarm system is disarmed / deactivated
and emits a 2-pip sound to confi rm it.
If you have not entered the correct user code then the
compact alarm system emits a 4-pip sound.
Alarm
The alarm is triggered by the following circumstances
(assuming the compact alarm system has been armed):
The passive infrared motion detector has detected a
motion and the user code has not been correctly entered
within the entry delay period (8 seconds).
The control unit has been removed from the installation
site thus causing the sabotage contact I to signal a
sabotage attempt.
The cable w to the external siren has been severed,
disconnected or the external siren removed from the
installation site (the external siren sounds).
The cable to the motion detector has been severed or
disconnected (alarm sounds after 8 seconds delay).
Alarm signals
The internal siren of the control unit and the external siren
emit the loud siren sounds for approx. 60 seconds.
Then the compact alarm system returns to the armed state
again. If the cable w to the external siren has been severed
or disconnected or the external siren has been removed
from the installation site then the external siren emits a loud
siren for approx. 120 seconds.
Interrupting the alarm
To do this after the alarm has been triggered you need
to enter the user code to disarm the device.
Press key 1 on the keypad R twice. You have now
