Avoiding damage to materials, property and the device
• Always place the device on a dry, fl at, fi rm, heat-resistant sur-
face with suffi cient clearance on all sides.
• Lay the cable so that it does not pose a tripping hazard. Do not
allow the cable to hang over the edge of a table or kitchen work-
top. Someone could catch him/herself and pull down the device.
• Make sure that the mains cord does not get pinched, kinked or
laid over sharp edges and does not come into contact with hot
surfaces.
• The raclette device may not be moved during operation.
• In order to prepare your fondue, only heat up the fondue pot on
an electric or glass ceramic cooker. Do not use other sources of
heat like ovens to heat up the fondue pot. The pot is not suitable
for induction cookers! Make sure you wear oven gloves when
transferring hot substances!
• Always insert the receptacle for the fondue pot into the raclette
grill plate before you place the fondue pot onto the raclette grill
plate (see the „Using the Raclette" and „Fondue" chapters). Wi-
thout the receptacle, it is not possible to guarantee that the pot
can be held in place securely.
• For the fondue, only use fats and oils which are suitable for fry-
ing.
• Use heat-resistant utensils to place and remove the food.
• Do not place food that is still wrapped in cling fi lm or plastic bags
on the raclette grill plate or the hot stone.
