• Only clean the inside and outside of the device with a clean, soft, slightly damp cloth and a
little mild detergent if necessary. After that, dry it thoroughly.
• Clean the filter if it is clogged up. To do this, carefully pull the filter up out of the box with
your fingers and rinse it under hot running water. If necessary, wipe the recess in which the
filter sits with a soft, dry cloth. Allow the filter to dry completely before you insert it back
into the device.
• Store the device in a dry, clean location which is out of the reach of children and animals.

If the device should stop working properly, first check whether you are able to correct the
problem yourself. If you are not, contact the customer service department.
Do not try to repair a faulty device yourself!
Problem
The device does not

Possible cause / Solution
In adapter mode
• Is the mains adapter inserted in the mains socket correctly?
• Is the mains socket defective? Try another mains socket.
• Check the fuse of your mains connection.
In battery mode
• Are batteries inserted in the device? Insert the batteries
into the device (see the "Putting into Operation" chapter,
"Inserting / Changing Batteries" section).
• Are the batteries discharged? Change the batteries (see
the "Putting into Operation" chapter, "Inserting / Changing
Batteries" section).
General
• Is the lid closed shut correctly? Is the filter of the vacuum
pump inserted into the box correctly, clean and not covered
by any food? Check the lid, the rubber seal and the filter of
the vacuum pump.
