Installation of motor and tensioning
of driving belts
Depending on the required amount of compressed air
the TRL 600/1500 blowers are delivered with motors
from 60 to 150 HP. The mounting frame for motors of
TRL 600/1500 blowers is common and is suitable for
any motor type.
Install the motor as shown below. Initially do not screw
the bolts tightly.
The belt pulley on the motor axle and selected axles
of the blower are fixed with use of locking bushes (so
called "Taper lock system"). The system is made up of
the belt pulley, a taper bush, two or three bolts and an
ordinary gap. Make sure that all conical surfaces are
clean and free of grease before installation.
Place the bush into the belt pulley and screw loosely
two or three bolts into the threaded holes of the belt
pulley. Make sure that the motor axle is clean. Place
the belt pulley and align it accordingly. Remember to
fix the bush correctly first and only then try to push
gently the belt pulley onto the bush. Screw the bolts
home alternately until it firmly sits on the conical bush.

In case of the need to dismantle the belt pulley un-
screw the two or three bolts and screw one of them
into the hole that has not been used so far. Conse-
quently, the bush inside the belt pulley shall get loose
and the belt pulley would be pulled out of the axle.
Belt pulley of the blower axle
In some blowers the belt pulley of the blower is also
fixed with use of a locking bush. In such a case it is
important first to screw-in the pin (A) of the axle end
and only then to mount the locking bush on the axle,
as the locking bush, already placed on the axle, must
be finally moved to the axle end.
Next adjust transverse sides of the mounting frame in
such a way that the belt pulleys should be perfectly
aligned. Alignment of pulleys can be checked e.g. by
putting a straight plank (bar) on belt pulleys.
Then adjust the mounting frame in longitudinal direc-
tion to mount the driving belt and to enable maximum
possible tension of the belt. Finally, turn tight all the
bolts that fix the frame to the base.
Tension the V-belts in accordance to the description
in the Section "Maintenance". Remember to install the
belt guards prior to startup the blower.
