Mounting:
Make sure that the blower is installed so that it is se-
cured against falls and tipping over. Please ensure that
the blower is installed so that there is easy access for
operation and maintenance.
The blower must be installed on a stable surface which
is level and horizontal.
The blower is designed for indoor
Mounting pipe system for blower
Always secure pipes mounted directly on the blower
outlet by using clamps with bolts in a way that the
pipes cannot be removed without tools. Always use the
special safety clamp delivered with the blower. Never
use quick release clamps on the blower outlet.
The pipe attached to the blower outlet must have
a length of minimum 800mm, with a diameter of
maximum 200mm, in order to prevent the possibility for
coming in contact with the blowers rotor when the pipe
is mounted.
Min 800 mm
Mount a pipe without joints with a length of minimum
800mm on the blower outlet.

Motor specifications
Model FRL 15 blower/aspirator are designed to be
driven by single or 3-phase, TEFC electric motors with
a horse power rating of 1.5 hp at 3500 rpm and with a
frame specification of NEMA 56C flange.

Motor shaft drilling
Note: Prior to assembling the blower housing and
rotor to the motor, the motor shaft must be drilled and
tapped to accept a 5/16"-18 UNC x 3/4" bolt and wash-
ers.
In some instances, motors supplied by the factory may
have the shafts pre-drilled and tapped for an M8 x 20
mm metric bolt. Please refer to the assembly instruc-
tions and diagram detail A.
Note: Very important to drill and tap the motor shaft
and to secure the rotor to the shaft with the bolt and
washers as described in the assembly instructions.
Assembly instructions
1. Place the haft housing on to the motor flange and
rotate the housing to align the bolt holes.
Note: Take care to consider what position is best
for access to the motor wiring box when the blower
is installed.
2. Mount the half housing to the motor with four 3/8"
x 3/4" bolts and 3/8" lock washers and tighten the
bolts.
3. Install the fan rotor all the way on the motor shaft
and insert the key.
4. If the motor shaft extends beyond the end of the
rotor, install a 5/8" x 1-1/4" x 1/4" spacer bushing
over the end of the shaft. If the motor shaft does
not extend past the rotor, the spacer will not be
needed. Note: In some cases you may need to
shorten the key in order to allow the spacer to sit
flush against the rotor bushing.
5. Install the 3/8" (or M8) bolt, with both a large wash-
er and lock washer, in the end of the motor shaft
and tighten.
6. Remove the air intake screen. It will plug up with
fines, if left in.
7. Install the outer half housing over the rotor and
attach the blower housings together with two M6 x
12 mm screws, serrated washers and nuts. Place
one bolt in the hole nearest to the blower outlet on
each side of the housing.
