Ventilation
Ensure that there is enough space around the unit so that the air circulation round and behind it is
not obstructed. (Rear and sides 5 cm, top 10 cm.)
Fitting the door handles
Fit the two handles to the doors, using the screws provided to secure them, and then use the plugs to
cover the screw-heads.
Reversible door
The design provides for the door to be reversed, i.e. for right-hinged (default installation) to become
left-hinged.
Warning: Do not attempt to reverse the doors yourself; if this becomes necessary, contact the
customer service for assistance.
Temperature control
The unit is activated by connecting it to the mains. It is only switched
off completely when the plug is removed from the wall socket.
The temperature in the refrigerator cabinet can be adjusted by setting
the temperature control. Turning the control clockwise will decrease
the temperature, while turning it anti-clockwise will increase it.
After switching on, the temperature control should be set to its
highest setting.
After approx. 30 minutes, the temperature should be changed to a medium setting, which is
usually sufficient for home or office use. Following a power interruption, or if the unit has been
switched off on purpose, it may take 3 to 5 minutes before it switches on again.
The temperatures inside the refrigerator cabinet and freezer compartment depend mainly on the
ambient temperature, the temperature control setting and the amount of food stored.
Interior lighting
Changing the light bulb:
Remove the plug from the wall socket.
Push the lamp cover to the rear and take it off.
Take out the defective bulb and fit a new one (max. 15 W, socket type E14).
Slide the cover back into position; ensure that it locks properly into place.
Connect the unit to the mains power. It may take 3 to 5 minutes before it switches on again.
Freezing and storing food
Freezer compartment:
The freezer compartment is designed for deep-freezing and long-term storage of frozen food, and
for making ice cubes.
To ensure that nutritious elements such as vitamins are not lost, fresh food should be deep-frozen
