Cleaning the carbon brushes
The carbon brushes glide over the slip ring, which is
why they need to stay supple. If the brushes become
very worn out, the pressure with which they glide on
the slip ring changes. That could make the surface of
the slip ring rough and result in irregular functioning of
the generator. Therefore, check the carbon brushes for
wear every 300 operating hours or if the generator
functions irregularly. If the brushes are shorter than 5
mm, they need to be replaced
Storage
If you want to store your generator for longer than three months, you must take
the following measures:
 Drain the fuel. Do that by opening the fuel cock
and loosening the drain plug located on the side
of the carburettor float chamber. Drain the fuel
completely.
Attention!
Very carefully re-screw the drain plug to close it in order to prevent damaging
the fuel bunker.
There are two screws located on
the carburettor. The vertical
screw secures the float chamber
of the carburettor. The other, at
the side of the float chamber of
the carburettor, is the drain screw.
