Pay attention! The generator is equipped with a sensor for the oil level. If the oil
level is lower than required, the sensor will emit a warning signal or will stop the
motor.
If the motor stops while the oil level is at an acceptable level, then check whether
the generator is titled and place it on a horizontal surface.
If the generator refuses to start, there may not be enough oil to switch off the
sensor. Then top up the oil to the maximum level.
Check the fuel level
WARNING!
Never refuel the tank while the motor is still running or hot.
-
Close the fuel cock before refuelling.
-
Watch out that no dust, dirt, water or any other foreign substances wind up in
-
the fuel.
Carefully remove any spilled liquids before you restart the generator.
-
Keep open fire away from the generator and fuel.
-
When a check of the fuel level shows that it is low,
the fuel must be topped up:
Unscrew the cap of the tank.
The fuel filter should be in the neck of the tank
and it should be clean.
Subsequently, fill the tank with clean, fresh,
unleaded petrol, as used in cars.
Screw the cap firmly back onto the tank.
Check whether the air filter is clean.
If that is not the case, look under MAINTENANCE on how it should be cleaned.
Check the generator for loose or missing parts and damage.
During transport, components of the generator could rattle and get loose or get
damaged. Tighten them firmly and in case of damage, contact your supplier. Never
use a damaged appliance!
Never refuel while you are smoking, in the vicinity of an open fire
or under any other potentially incendiary conditions. This can
cause accidents!
