1.
Turn the item of equipment (TV, VCR, etc.) on manually that
you wish to control
2.
Press the "SETUP" button down and hold it down until the diode
lights up.
3.
Release the "SETUP" button.
4.
Press the button briefly for the required mode (TV, VCR, SAT,
etc.)
5.
Press the "CHANNEL +" button (next channel upwards in the
list), or "POWER', or "PLAY" (only applies to VCR) as many
times as necessary until the equipment that is to be controlled
changes channel or reacts appropriately. If the user accidentally
overshoots the required code, he or she should press the
"REW" (symbol) button as many times as necessary to go back
through the library until the equipment changes channel or
reacts appropriately.
6.
Press the "ENTER" key briefly to install the code. The diode will
go out.
7.
The transfer of the code from the code-search mode has now
been completed.
Note: If the equipment does not possess a "CHANNEL+" button, use
the "PLAY" (only on VCR) or "POWER"button. The code search will
start with the 3-digit number in this mode, e.g. if the mode contains
100 codes and the one stored at that moment is 050 the search will
start at 051 and run through to 100, then jump back to 000 and
continue searching through to 050. This simplifies the procedure of
more than one code can control your equipment because it skips the
ones it has already tested.
Note: It should be noted, when entering or searching for codes, that
the correct code is not entered until the television set is completely
capable of being operated. If only a limited number of functions can
be controled remotely, a different code needs to be entered or
searched out. Only those functions can be controlled remotely that
are also remotely controllable from the standard control unit.
