Different requirements apply depending on the country.
The respective national regulations for grid connection
must be observed. If impedance monitoring is required,
Steca offers the StecaGrid ENS6 external unit, which
must be installed between the inverter and the grid.
In addition to this, in Germany for example, a Type B
residual current circuit breaker must be installed at the
connection point.

An electronic meter can be used to visualise the output
and yields. Steca offers the StecaGrid ALD1 model for
this purpose.

4.3. Commissioning the StecaGrid 300/500

Once the inverters are connected to the grid and an input
voltage is present, the inverters will start up automatically.
No further settings are necessary.

4.4. Operation

The solar system operates fully automatically
If there is adequate sunlight, energy is delivered
back into the electrical system (the LED is perma-
nently lit).
If solar energy levels are low, the inverter will switch
to 'Stand-by' (flashing LED).
If there is insufficient or no sunlight, the inverter will
switch to the 'Off' mode. In this mode, no energy is
consumed from the grid.
WARNING!
Malfunction of the PV system!
An earth leakage circuit breaker trips at a very low current
differential. This mainly occurs during a thunderstorm. In
view of this, check that the system is operational on a regular
basis. Regular checks of the kilowatt hour meter may also
bring system failures to light at an early stage.
NOTE
After disconnection the inverter will switch to ‚Stand-by'.
The LED will flash briefly to signal this. The DC side is now
voltage free.
