Operation

The inverters are equipped with a standby system. To avoid unnecessarily
discharging the battery, in this operating mode the inverter switches off auto-
matically when no consumer device is connected and switches on automatically
when a consumer device is switched on. The switch-on threshold (see chapter
5.2) is set via the rotary switch.

5.1 Switching the power supply on/off

5.1.1 Switching on the power supply
Turn the rotary switch clockwise from the "Off" setting at least as far as
X
the "Standby" setting.
If a consumer device is not supplied, turn the rotary switch further clockwise.
X
Notes
• The LED blinks green in standby operation or is permanently illuminated
green when a consumer device is switched on.
• In the "On" setting the power supply is always switched on.
• You can switch consumer devices on and off the same as with mains power
(see chapter 5.3 "Switch-on delays").
5.1.2 Switching off the power supply
If power is not required for a longer period of time, e.g. when you are absent,
the power supply can be switched off via the inverter.
Turn the rotary switch counter-clockwise to the "Off" setting.
X
The power supply is switched off and the LED goes out.

5.2 Setting the switch-on threshold

The inverter consumes power whenever it generates an AC voltage, even when
no consumer device is switched on. To minimise these losses, the rotary switch
can be used to set the inverter into a state in which it only becomes active when
the "real" consumer devices are active and (e.g.) does not react to consumer
devices in a standby state or to losses in the electrical installation.
Set to "Standby left", the inverter starts reacting at a load of approx. 50 W; set
to "Standby right", it reacts to load of approx. 2 W.
5.2.1 Setting the switch-on threshold so that all consumer devices are im-
mediately recognised
Switch off all consumer devices and turn the rotary switch to the "Standby
X
left" setting.
The LED blinks green.
Switch on the smallest consumer device and turn the rotary switch clock-
X
wise until the LED illuminates permanently.
All devices will now be recognised with the switch in this setting (see chapter 5.3
"Switch-on delays").
5.2.2 Setting the switch-on threshold so that small consumer devices are
not recognised
Switch off all consumer devices and turn the rotary switch to the "Standby
X
left" setting.
The LED blinks green.
Switch on the consumer device that is not supposed to be recognised and
X
turn the rotary switch clockwise until the LED illuminates permanently.
It is exactly at this setting that the undesired consumer device is recognised.
Now turn the rotary switch slightly counter-clockwise and wait approx. 5
X
to 10 seconds.
When the LED stops illuminating permanently and starts blinking, the
inverter is once more in standby operation and does not recognise the
small consumer device.
