7. Operation Polymax 1, 3 and 5

7.1 Adjustment of water temperature

Switch on the unit at the main switch
(14). At the first startup the display for
temperature (d) shows 45 °C, which
has been adjusted by the factory. The
display for time (f) shows 0. To get to
the adjustment area for polymerisation
temperature press temperature switch
(e) for more than 3 seconds. The tem-
perature indication display (d) as well
as the LED for heating (c) are blinking.
By turning the knob (b) to the right or
left every temperature between 5 and
95 °C (41 and 203 °F) can be adjusted
in intervals of 5 °C (9 °F). The adjusted
value will be confirmed by pushing the
temperature switch (e) again.
On the right besides the display (d) an
LED indication (c) shows the current
heating process.

7.2 Adjustment of polymerisation time

Push the adjustment knob (b) one time
and adjust the desired polymerisation
time by turning the knob to the right/

7.3 Polymerisation

Open the lid (2) and put the objects to
be polymerised into the warm water
bath. Handle sharp-edged objects (e. g.
metal flasks or articulators) very care-
fully, as scratches in the surface coat-
ing of the polymerisation pot may lead

heating of the water bath the lid of the
polymerisation pot (2) is to be closed
during this phase.
