The maximum pressure in system water conducting components may be equal to the maximum set pressure for the applicable safety
valve. (Unit with permissible operating overpressure of PN 10.) Use of eye/face protectors is required if the eyes or face could be
injured by flying parts or spraying fluids.
To stop electrical equipment (control unit, pumps, valves, peripheral equipment), isolate the power supply to the control unit. The
power supply must remain switched off for the duration of the work.
Unauthorised modifications to, and the use of non-approved components or replacement parts, is prohibited. This can result in
serious injury to persons and endanger operational safety. They will also render any claim for damages against product liability void.
The recommended approach is to call in Flamco service to perform these services.
1.9
Obvious misuse
Operation at incorrect voltage and frequency.
Feeding into drinking water systems
Operation with hazardous materials (poisonous, flammable).
Mobile application.
1.10 Residual hazards
• Crushing fingers when fixing the side panel to the housing. Wear protective clothing.
• When assembling the system, body posture can cause fatigue; if necessary, plan for breaks in the assembling process.
• Incorrect routing can cause pressure hoses to burst. Avoid kinking the hoses.
• Fire: professional fire protection must be ensured on site.
2. Product description
The contents of this manual include information on the supplied standard equipment.
Where appropriate, this includes information on options or other configurations.
If optional extras are supplied, further documentation is provided in addition to this manual.
2.1
Mode of operation
The Flamco-Fill P acts as a pressurisation unit with a pump (9) and a break tank (3, 4 and 6); it can be mounted on a wall or on
optional feet (12 and 13), actuated using an electrical connection to the SPC on the pressure maintenance unit provided by the
customer.
Initially, the float valve (3) fills the break tank (4) up to the limit value. During this process, the flow pressure must be above 1 bar. As
soon as enough water has filled up in the system separation vessel, the pressure switch (8) starts to monitor the minimum filling level
so that the dry run monitoring signal for the SPC can be taken from the Flamco-Fill P terminal box (11). The installation of a pressure
reducer is recommended if high flow pressures (>5 bar) exist.
Once the filling level in the Flexcon M-K compressor/automatic pressure maintenance unit or Flamcomat drops below the switching
point for the Flamco-Fill P, the pump (9) starts to deliver filling medium to the system/expansion line (for the Flexcon M K) or to the
expansion vessel (for the Flamcomat).
Once the filling level switch-off point in the Flamcomat basic vessel is reached, the pump (9) is switched off again via the SPC.
For the Flexcon M-K, the system pressure increases through filling the system. Flexcon M-K external pressure maintenance unit
corrects the pressure by releasing air from the gas plenum. The vessel filling level increases during this process until the Flamco - Fill
P filling switch-off point is reached.
