3. Installation
3.1
Installing, levelling, fixing - Ensure stability!
The Flamco- Fill P must be installed/assembled in a way that permanently ensures operation, control and maintenance. Mount the
unit on the wall in the vicinity of the pressure maintenance control unit and the hydraulic connection to the system in the technical
room. Use all four Ø10 holes on the back of the casing to mount on suitable bolts/hooks. Secure the Flamco-Fill P against accidental
removal.
Alternatively, optional feet (in addition to the supplies ordered) can be used for installation.
Make sure that there is a sufficiently large floor drain for the unit in the technical room and that flooding can be ruled out.
During the installation process, do not allow weld deposits or dirt to get onto or into the Flamco- Fill P equipment!
3.2
Connecting the pipework
Please note: Only working temperatures of between 3 °C and 90 °C at the point of connection are permissible. (If possible, prevent
cold Flamco-Fill P medium contacting the hot surfaces of the heater. The aim should be for a mixture with a warmer medium.)
Make sure that there is a direct connection to the heat source, and that no external hydraulic pressures are present at the ingress
point (e.g., hydraulic balancers, power distributions).
Connect a cap valve (to be provided by the customer) behind the Flamco-Fill P unit system connection (10). Follow the same
procedure on the inlet side between the non-return valve (1) and inlet. If contamination with a particle size of more than 0.2 mm is
expected at the inlet, install a corresponding dirt trap (to be provided by the customer) in the inlet pipe upstream of the unit.
If the pipework length is more than 10 metres from the feed-in point, the connection pipes must be at least 1".
Use sealants and feed lines appropriate to the installation; however, please observe at least the maximum permitted volumetric flow,
pressure and temperature values for the pipework in question.
Finally, connect the overflow pipe on the system separation tank (DN40) to the discharge on a suitable overflow funnel (to be provided
by the customer).
Make sure that all connections to the unit are free of nozzle forces without mechanical backlash! Avoid kinking or twisting the
connecting hoses!
3.3
Connecting the electrical supply
The customer must connect the power supply between the pressure maintenance unit SPC and the Flamco-Fill P terminal box.
The connection to the terminal box, particularly to the (protective) earth conductor system, and wire-to-wire short circuit protector,
must be made in accordance with the regulations of the appropriate utility and with applicable standards. The type plate on the
terminal box and the terminal diagram (marking) provide the required specifications.
Please note: Install equipotential bonding between the earth connection and equipotential bonding conductor. The minimum
diameter, quality and type of the power cables must reflect the rules and regulations applicable at the installation location for this
application. Electrical power cables must be permanently routed in cable ducts.
