Realising the electrical connection

DANGER
Risk of serious injury or death due to electric shock.
If live parts are touched, there is risk of life-threatening injuries.
Ensure that the system is voltage-free before installing the device.
Ensure that the system is secured and cannot be reactivated by other persons.
Ensure that installation work for the electric connection of the device is carried out by an electrician, and in compliance with electrical
engineering regulations.
These prerequisites must be met for electrical connections:
The connections must be made by expert trained personnel according to electrical engineering regulations and local rules.
The supply voltage must match the voltage indicated on the nameplate.
Electrical connections are to be realised according to the terminal plan.
Use suitable installation material.
Select the conductor cross-sections and fusing according to the electrical power used by the device.
The PE conductor connection must be made carefully. All metal parts of the storage tank must be included in the safety measure.
Proceed as follows:
1.
Switch off the device.
2.
Secure the facility against unintended reactivation.
3.
Undo the screws on the device protective cover.
4.
Remove the protective cover.
5.
Thread the connecting cable through the cable gland.
6.
Connect the conductors according to the terminal plan.
7.
Ensure the proper connection of the protective conductor
Ensure that the protective conductor is relieved from strain.
8.
Position the protective cover.
The cable gland must point downward.
9.
Fasten the protective cover with the screws.
If necessary, ensure sufficient sealing according to degree of protection IP21.
Tighten the screws of the protective cover.
10.
Tighten the cable gland.
11.
Check the protective cover:
For secure seating.
12.
Reactivate the system.
The electrical connection is completed.
Note!
The following device types are connected directly to the power supply:
EFHR 4.0 KW, EFHR 6.0 KW, EFHR 8.0 KW, EFHR 10.0 KW, EFHR 16.0 KW, EFHR 19.0 KW.
Note!
The device types EFHR 25.0 KW and EFHR 35 KW require a contactor in the distributor for the power supply.
The control line from the contactor switches the voltage for the device.
