TENS 20 • Urgency incontinence
Program duration 9 minutes, intensity set above the threshold of perception to produce light
internal stimulation.
This program, for which no photographs are provided regarding the position of the electrodes,
requires the use of appropriate internal stimulation probes, supplied separately together with
the relative instructions. Consult your doctor before using this program and during the
treatment period.
WARNING: when using programs Tens 19 and Tens 20, we recommend using probes that
have been certified by a notified body as a "class IIa medical device". The probes should be
provided with instructions for use, cleaning and storage as well as any information relevant to
the user.
ARTHROSIS
Arthrosis is a chronic-degenerative medical condition, appearing insidiously, developing over
time and causing progressive degeneration of the joints (a joint is formed of two or more joint
"heads", cartilage, ligaments, a synovial membrane, a joint capsule, tendons and muscles),
limiting joint motility increasingly over time. Arthrosis mainly causes progressive deterioration of
cartilage (which is not capable of re-forming) and bone, with secondary deformation of the
same, and production of excrescences, called "osteophytes", which mechanically obstruct joint
movement; it also causes the joint capsule to thicken and stiffen, which together with
contraction of the muscles surrounding the joint limits the "joint excursion" even further.
Tens therapy can lessen the pain caused by this condition, but cannot cure it!
Tens (Tens 1) can be combined with stimulation of the area to be treated using a low-
frequency current (Tens 2) to relax the surrounding muscles.
Treatment program for the most common medical conditions. TENS.
