Attention: remove the battery in case of prolonged inactivity (over two months).
Batteries have to be handled by adult persons: keep them out of children's reach.
MIO-CARE is supplied by internal rechargeable Ni-Mh 800 mAh battery with new long-lasting
technology .
When during the treatment intensity increase is needed or the the device turn off, it indicates a
low battery state. The display shows
when the battery is discharged or when the charger is disconnected from the device
plug (in this case the display shows all icons for a few seconds).
Please pay attention that display DOESN'T SHOW any battery icon fully charged.
Battery charging.
To proceed with the charging follow the steps below:
•
Make sure that the device is switched off before charging
•
Make sure that the device is not being used by patient (disconnect cables and
electrodes)
•
Connect the battery charger to the plug on the upper side of MIO-CARE and connect
the battery charger into the power socket.
The battery must be recharged for 6/8 hours.
At the end of battery charging, disconnect the charger from power socket and from the device.
Do not immerge the battery in water or other liquids and do not expose it to heat sources.
Do not dispose of dead or defective batteries with domestic waste; dispose of in an authorized
waste collection bin.
WARNING: do not leave the battery completely discharged for long periods. We suggest
to recharge MIO-CARE once a month for 6/8 hours. We suggest to fully discharge
batteries before the new charging to guarantee a longer batteries duration.
WARNING: after the first recharge, the battery could present a limited capacity. This is a
normal characteristics of Ni-Mh battery. We suggest to recharge the battery after each
treatment for 3 or 4 times.
Do not use the battery charger if:
•
The plug is damaged or parts of it are broken.
•
It has been exposed to rain or any other type of liquid.
•
The components have been damaged by a fall.
Use a dry cloth to clean the battery charger. Do not open the battery charger: it does not
contain repairable parts.
8. MIO-CARE maintenance and storage.
We recommend that MIO-CARE is switched off and the cables are removed from the
connectors at the end of every session. MIO-CARE should be kept in the carry bag supplied,
together with the rest of the equipment supplied with it, and carefully stored on a secure
surface and protected from situations listed in the Warnings paragraph.
