8.3. Error
• Errors, in case of which correct functioning of the SD4I Guard Locking Device is no longer assured
(internal errors), result in shutdown of the safety outputs within the specified risk time.
• An error which does not currently threaten reliable functioning of the SD4I Guard Locking Device
(cross-circuit, temperature error, safety output, short-circuiting to 24 V DC) results in delayed shutdown
(see table 2 "LED Diagnosis Information", page
• After the error has been eliminated, the error message is acknowledged by opening the respective safety
door. The safety outputs are switched on after relocking the Guard Locking Device.
8.4. Error Warning
• An error occurs which results in shutdown of the safety outputs after 30 minutes.
• The safety outputs remain active at first. This allows for controlled shutdown of the process.
Error warnings are cancelled after the cause has been eliminated.
• If more than one error is detected at the safety outputs, the device is electronically disabled and normal
error acknowledgment is no longer possible. In this case, the device must be disconnected from supply
power after the error has been eliminated before acknowledgement is possible.
9. Disassembly
The safety switchgear must be disassembled in a de-energized condition only.
