7.1 Changing the sanding belt
Disconnect the machine from the
power source (pull mains plug).
Lock the belt sander in the vertical
position.
Release two latches (B, Fig 6) and
open the covers.

Remove the handle (A, Fig 6) and
pivot the table support (A, Fig 7) out
of the way.

Release the belt tension by moving
the tension handle.
Carefully remove old belt. Observe
direction arrow on inside of sanding
belt. Make sure that direction arrow
on belt matches direction indicator on
the belt cover. Install new belt over
both rollers and line up edge of belt
with edge of rollers.
Tension the belt.
Close the belt covers and reattach the
table support.
Note: Belts stretch with wear. You
may have to adjust tracking with a
new belt.

7.2 Belt tracking adjustment

Disconnect the machine from the
power source (pull mains plug).
Push the belt by hand in the direction
indicated on the belt cover. Observe
the belt position on the rollers. Edge of
belt should remain even with the edge
of the rollers.
Release the tracking lock (B, Fig 8) by
pulling up on the handle.
The blade tracking is now adjustable
by the micro adjusting screw (C, Fig
8).

If the belt has a tendency to track right
of centre, move the micro adjusting
screw (C, Fig 8) to the left and vice
versa.
Clamp the tracking lock.
Turn on the power to the machine just
enough to start the belt rotating and
then turn off. Do this several times
and observe belt tracking. Readjust if
necessary.
7.3 Sanding disc replacement
Disconnect the machine from the
power source (pull mains plug).
Remove the table assembly.
Open the plastic cover.
Remove the old sanding disc.
Make sure the disc plate is clean
before you attach the new sanding
disc.
7.4 Table adjustment
Disconnect the machine from the
power source (pull mains plug).
Use a square on the sanding disc to
exactly align the table to 90°.

Set the 90° stop screw (C, Fig 9) and
lock the nut (B, Fig 9).
Set the pointer so that it reads 0°.

Move the mitre gauge and inspect the
parallelism of the movement in
regards to the sanding disc.
If the mitre guidance is not parallel
loosen the screws (A, Fig 9) and
adjust.
8. Maintenance and inspection
General notes:
Maintenance, cleaning and repair
work may only be carried out after
the machine is protected against
accidental starting by pulling the
mains plug.
Check sanding disc and belt regularly
for faults. Replace a defective sanding
disc of belt immediately.
Clean the machine regularly.
Inspect the proper function of the dust
extraction daily.
Defective safety devices must be
replaces immediately.
Repair and maintenance work on the
electrical system may only be carried
out by a qualified electrician.
9. Trouble shooting
Motor doesn't start
*No electricity-
check mains and fuse.
*Defective switch, motor or cord-
consult an electrician.
Sanding belt slips
*Sanding belt is stretched-
install new sanding belt.
*Too much applied pressure
move workpiece while sanding.
