Replacing the mask connector
Draw the nose cup out of the groove in the screw ring.
Lift the connector clamp using a screwdriver.
Remove the connector clamp, sliding ring and support plate.
Draw the facepiece connector out of the mask body.
Insert speech diaphragm, exhalation valve and inhalation valve into the
new mask connector, and fit the connector so that the centre marks of the
mask connector and mask body match.
Fit the sliding ring and new connector clamp. Hook in the hook in such a
way that the connector clamp sits as tight as possible.
Slide the support plate between the connector clamp and the sliding ring,
clamp to the bottom lens frame and align. Compress the nose on the
connector clamp with pliers (R 53 239) until the mask connector is
securely located in the mask body.

Replacing the valve discs at the control valves of the nose
cup
Pull out the old valve discs towards the inside.
Insert the studs of the new discs into the hole from inside, and pull it
towards the lens until the undercut of the stud is visible.
The valve discs should make even contact with the inside surface.
Replacing the speech diaphragm or O-ring
Draw the nose cup out of the groove in the
screw ring.
Unscrew the screw ring with socket
wrench R 26 817.
Turn the socket wrench over and carefully
insert it in the holes of the grille, taking
care not to damage the foil on the
diaphragm.
Turn the speech diaphragm to release it and remove it.
Remove the O-ring from the connector with sealing ring lifter R 21 519.
Check speech diaphragm and O-ring and replace if necessary.
Button in the nose cup.
Replacing the exhalation valve disc

Attach protective cap, it must snap in.
Replacing the inhalation valve or valve disc
Pull out the valve from the shackle.
Unbutton the old valve disc and button in the new one.
Press the inhalation valve into the mask connector until it makes contact
all around. The valve disc must not be squeezed, the disc points inwards,
the ridges point to the outside.
Storage
Wipe the lens of the full face mask with an antistatic cloth. Pack the full
face mask into its bag or mask box. Store the full face mask with the
attached adapters or separate from the adaptable head harness. Store
undistorted, dry and free from dust. Protect from exposure to direct UV
radiation and radiant heat. Follow ISO 2230 and national regulations for
storage, maintenance and cleaning of rubber products.
