35. To prevent electric shock, do not use the appliance if cord or
power plug are damaged or if the appliance has other faults,
has fallen down resp. is damaged in any other way or if parts
have come loose. Never attempt repairs yourself but take the
appliance to Solis or a service centre authorized by Solis in
order to get it inspected, repaired or mechanically and electri-
cally maintained, in order to avoid a hazard.
36. People with limited physical, sensorial or mental capabilities as

well as unknowing or inexperienced people must not use the
mixer except when supervised or thoroughly instructed on how
to use the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Additionally, they must be aware of the dangers arising from
the appliance and know how to operate it safely. Under no cir-
cumstances must the appliance be used or cleaned by children.
The appliance and its power cord as well as all accessories have
to kept away from children and pets.
37. Children must be supervised, so that they do not play with the
mixer.
38. Always switch the appliance off before pulling the plug, oth-
erwise the appliance might be damaged.
39. Do not place anything on the appliance while it is in use or in
storage.
40. Pull the plug after every use. Only then, the appliance is fully
switched off.
41. The appliance has to be cleaned after every use. Please refer
to the notes given in the section "Cleaning and maintenance"
on page 112 of this manual.
42. Clean the motor unit only with a dry or slightly wet towel.
Never use aggressive, abrasive or acidic detergents for cleaning.
43. Should you notice a strange smell or sound, switch the appli-
ance off and pull the plug. Do not start using it again before
having its functionality and safety checked by Solis or a service
centre authorised by Solis.

44. Before storing, disassembling or cleaning resp. changing the
attachments / stirring tools, always wait for the motor and the
attachment to come to a full stop and pull the power plug from
the socket. This also applies when the appliance is not in use.
45. Caution: When cleaning or removing resp. installing parts, the
appliance has to be at a complete standstill and be switched
off as well as disconnected from the power. Otherwise, there
is the risk of injury.
46. When using the appliance as a blender, you should not let
it run for more than 1 minute without interruptions, when
processing heavy and solid mixables, you should not let it run
for more than 10 seconds. When using the appliance as a
handheld mixer, let it run for a maximum of 5 minutes. If you
have used the dough hooks, the appliance has to cool down for
30 minutes at room temperature before you start using it again.
47. If food collects around the tip when using the appliance as
a blender, stop the blender by releasing the ON/OFF button.
When motor and shaft have come to a complete standstill, pull
the power plug and take the blender out of the blender jug.
Use a plastic spatula to remove resp. stir the food around the
shaft before proceeding to blend. Never remove the food with
your fingers, the blades are very sharp!
48. During use, keep hands, fingers, hair, clothing, jewellery and
kitchen utensils like spatulas away from the mixer and the con-
tainer. Handle kitchen tools in the container only if the motor
and the attachment / stirring tool have come to a complete
standstill. If this advice is not followed, there might be injuries
or damages to the blender.
49. Always be very careful when handling the blender shaft – the
blades of the attachments are extremely sharp! You should be
especially careful when taking the blender shaft out of the jug
or changing the attachment. Always use the key included in
the delivery. Wrong or improper handling of the attachments
can result in injuries!
