27. People with limited physical, sensorial or mental capabilities as well as unknowing
or inexperienced people (incl. children) must not use the electric kettle except
when supervised or thoroughly instructed on how to use the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety. Additionally, they must be aware of the dangers arising
from the appliance and know how to operate it safely. Cleaning and maintenance
of the appliance must not be done by unsupervised children. The appliance must not
be operated or cleaned by children under the age of 8.
28. Always keep the appliance and power cord out of the reach of children.
29. Children must not clean the appliance except when supervised by a grown-up per-
son responsible for their safety.
30. Children must not be allowed to play with the electric kettle. Keep the packag-
ing material incl. plastic bags out of reach from children. Suffocation hazard!
31. Keep the appliance away from children during use – the water in the kettle is
hot! As the kettle itself gets warm, you should only touch it by the handle when
lifting it.
32. Avoid contact with hot steam that might escape from the spout once the water
is boiling and the button for unlocking the spout latch has been pressed. Always
pour hot water out of the spout carefully and slowly to prevent it from splash-
ing and scalding somebody.
33. The lid can be carefully removed after the appliance has been switched off (push
both lid locks inward). For safety reasons, we recommend always pouring hot
water through the spout, which requires that the button for unlocking the spout
latch is pressed, and not lifting the lid. For your own safety, the lid can only be
removed when both lid locks are pushed inward simultaneously.
34. Be especially careful when lifting or carrying the kettle filled with hot water.
35. Never start the appliance using a remote or timer.
36. Use only the included kettle and lid with the appliance and do not use the ket-
tle with another appliance. Improper accessories can cause electric shock, fire or
personal damage and damage the appliance itself.
37. Before shifting or cleaning the appliance, always switch it off with the ON/OFF
button. Then, pull the power plug from the socket and wait for the appliance
to cool down completely. Please pull the plug if the appliance is not in use.
38. If the kettle has not cooled down completely and you wish to refill cold water,
you should unlock and remove the lid extremely carefully.
39. The lid always has to be closed and locked during use.
40. Pull the plug after every use. Only then is the appliance definitely switched off.
