The VS710 operates in two basic modes:
1. Configure mode
The VS710 is connected to a programming device / PC and is supplied
with user programs and configuring data.
2. Productive mode
The VS710 is in the target operating mode and receives jobs (or
delivers processed data) through digital I/O, RS232, and
PROFIBUS-DP interfaces. It communicates with actuators / sensors,
control PCs, and PROFIBUS-DP master systems.
