Torque Wrenches
Operating Instructions
DE
Dear Customer,
You have made a good choice. This
quality product in your hands will help
you to optimise your work.
Every GARANT torque wrench is
distinguished by its high precision and
reliability. It has been developed for
controlled tightening of screw connec-
EN
tions and is calibrated before supply.
For effective use of the torque wrench
as intended, it is essential that all safety
and other information in these opera-
ting instructions is adhered to.
Deviation from these procedures is not
allowed. Any personal injury or material
losses caused by improper use are the
sole responsibility of the operator and
FR
user.
Safety advice
Before use, check for correct setting
of the release torque, and for proper
seating of the socie and / or insert tool
used. Fit the tool in such way that it
cannot slip off the screw connection.
IT
Otherwise you risk personal injury and /
or material damage.
In order to prevent transmission of
incorrect load information, you should
not use universal joints or extensions.
It is also possible to use the wrench for
releasing screw connections. However,
when using it for this purpose, never
exceed the maximum scale torque
ES
(e.g. when trying to release rusted-in
screws). Overloading may damage the
torque wrench and may cause it to
release incorrectly.

Torque wrenches are calibrated hand
tools and must be handled with great
care. For this reason you should always
avoid mechanical, chemical or thermal
stress in excess of that encountered
in normal use as intended. The torque
wrench must not be used as hamme-
ring tool. Such use may cause accidents
and damage. Extreme climatic condi-
tions (cold, heat, humidity) may affect
the release accuracy.
When using sockets or insert tools,
always ensure that they conform to the
standard and that they have the correct
shape and size for the screw connection
to be tightened.
In addition, it is important that the
used socie or insert tool is not loaded
to a greater extent than the maximum
permitted. This value may be less than
the achievable release torque of the
torque wrench. The use of homemade
special tools constitutes a possible
hazard. Disregarding this warning may
lead to personal injury and / or material
damage.
The release accuracy tolerance in the
direction of actuation (clockwise) for
size 65 7750_5 and 65 7750_14
is ± 4%, for size 657750_25 and 65
7750_60 is ± 3% to setting value. All
torque wrenches have to be adjusted
with a torque analyser to the requi-
red value and they have an automatic
long-gap release: once the preset value
has been reached, this can be felt and
heard. The perceptible signal abates
when torque value is low.
