About proper use
This appliance is intended for domestic use only.
It is not suitable for industrial or commercial
use. Only use the appliance to clean regular dirt
from surfaces that can withstand the high tem-
perature, pressure, and moisture of hot steam.
Used with due care and skill, the steam cleaner
can also be used to refresh carpets, curtains,
clothing, etc. Any other use is considered im-
proper use and is prohibited.
The following in particular is prohibited:
Use
– near explosive or easily flammable sub-
stances or on pressurised containers.
Risk of fire, explosion and container
bursting!
– as a humidifier or as a space-heating
system
– of non-original accessories
Impairment of appliance safety!
– outdoors
Risk of damage due to rain and dirt!
Steam cleaning
– persons, animals or plants, including
clothing that is still being worn.
– surfaces which contain materials that are
hazardous to health. The hot steam might
release these materials.
– textiles made from acrylic fibre, dralon,
velvet or linen. These might be damaged.
– non-tempered glass surfaces. These might
crack as a result of heat shock.

– leather, furniture, unsealed, lacquered,
oiled or waxed wood or parquet flooring,
or surfaces made of soft or shiny plastic
material. These might be damaged.
Filling the water tank with liquids other
than cold water. Additives in the water tank
make using the appliance unsafe. Hot or boiling
water will damage the appliance.
Operation of the appliance when the water
tank is empty or without the tank lid.
Sticking objects into the appliance's
openings.
Carrying out repairs yourself
Risk of injury and loss of entitlement to
free replacement!
About storage
Store the appliance in a cool, dry place away
from children.
Before storing the appliance make sure the
water tank is thoroughly clean and empty.
About disposal
At the end of its service life, dispose of the
appliance in an environmentally friendly man-
ner as described, >"Environmental protection
and disposal" on page 14.
