5. Operation
Clamping
Place the workpiece against the front fixed jaw

(2). Slide the moving jaw (2) up against the work-
piece. The moving jaw can either be moved by
hand or by using the foot pedal.
Slide down the lock / unlock switch to engage the

lock. Press down on the foot pedal to clamp the
workpiece. See fig 14.
m WARNING: Maximum allowable force on the
foot pedal is 100Kg. Do not stand or jump on the
product, as you can cause injury or damage to
the product.
Releasing
Slide up the lock / unlock switch to release the

lock.
Press down on the foot pedal until it "clicks" to

release the clamp.
Slide the moving jaw away from the workpiece.

You will need to exert a similar pressure on the
foot pedal as was used to initially clamp the
workpiece.
m WARNING: Ensure the workpiece is supported
to avoid it falling when the jaw is released.
Clamping on one side of the jaw
On occasion large or awkward workpieces can only
be clamped on one side of the jaws. If this is the
case then avoid excessive use of clamping force.

Clamping square tube
Clamping square tubing or similar material either on
the diagonal or flat side using the grooves in the jaw
pads for alignment.
Clamping square pieces vertically
On occasion tubing or other square workpieces need
to be clamped vertically on the centre of the jaws.
Use the grooves on the jaw pad to align the work-
piece.
Clamping large objects
To clamp larger workpieces the moving jaw can be
reversed to increase the clamping range.

7. Disposal and recycling
The equipment is supplied in packaging to prevent it
from being damaged in transit. The raw materials in
this packaging can be reused or recycled. The equip-
ment and its accessories are made of various types
of material, such as metal and plastic. Defective
components must be disposed of as special waste.
