X Now place the illuminated magnifier on the text to be read.
X Guide the illuminated magnifier with the handle r over the text to
be read.
X After use, switch the illuminated magnifier off by sliding the switch
e to the rear.
If you do not like the colour of the light, your optician can adjust the light
colour with the supplied coloured LED-Caps.
Changing batteries
All of the batteries (2 alkali-manganese batteries, C-size) should always
be replaced. Pay attention to the correct polarity (positive pole in the
direction of the light).
X Switch the illuminated magnifier off by sliding the switch e to the
rear.
X Turn the grey end cap y anticlockwise and then remove the end cap.
X Replace the old batteries t with new ones.
X Screw the grey end cap back into the handle.
X Insert the handle straight into the magnifier pot.
Ensure that the slot in the rear end cap points down.

Care Instructions
When the illuminated magnifier is not in use, it should be covered.
Clean the housing with a moist cloth. Clean the lens with a soft, lint-free
cloth (e.g. eyeglass cleaning cloth). For heavier soiling (e.g. fingerprints),
moisten the cloth slightly.
Do NOT use any soap solutions that contain softening agents, alco-
hol-based solvents or abrasive cleansers! The lenses could be damaged.
