24. Correcting faults

If your device is not working properly, please check the following points:
Problem
No functionality
Water tank symbol lights red No water
Device does not start up
Device runs but does not
take in any water
Water channel overflows
Water is escaping from the
device
Water degermination moni-

the remote control
Automatic water feed no

Newly fitted batteries are

1) Only for special UV-technology version with lime conversion cartridge
2) Only for special automatic water feed version with safety pressure hose

Cause
Device not connected
Humidity is higher than the desired hu-
midity set „Enter" was not pressed when
altering the humidity value or blower stage
Water indicator copper electrodes fouled
Pump hoses not correctly fitted or fouled
Lime conversion cartridge clogged 1)
Pump defect
Outflow holes are clogged
Filter is used
Filter is not correctly installed
UV-source defect
Battery discharged or incorrectly installed
Distance between remote control and
device too great
Safety pressure hose defect – Water
feed is automatically stopped
Water feed floater stuck
Water has escaped
Batteries in transmitter are discharged
Battery were incorrectly fitted
(polarity not observed)

What to do?
Check mains connector
Fill with water
If appropriate change the set
value After changing the value
always press „Enter" on the
remote control
Clean copper electrodes
Clean pump hoses or fit correctly
Clean or bore out cartridge
Replace pump
Clean water distribution and
outflow holes
Renew filter
Check the filter seating
Replace UV-source
Check battery and replace ; note +/-
Reduce distance
Replace hose
Remove fouling in the feed, replace
float
Check cause . Separate the feeding
line to the water monitor from the
mains for a few seconds
Replace batteries
Fit new batteries
