Lock the throttle trigger in the fast-idle start posi-
tion, then pull the starter grip.

After the engine starts, squeeze and release the
throttle trigger to return it to the idle position, then
move the choke lever to the open (

WHAT CAN HAPPEN
• Contact with the parts can cause severe

HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD
• Never attempt to disassemble your recoil
starter assembly yourself. Always consult
your authorized MARUYAMA dealer for
repair by qualified service technicians.
CAUTION
• Do not pull the Starter rope all the way out.
If the engine stops running before you move the
choke lever to the open (
Go ahead and open the choke, pull the starter grip with
the throttle trigger positioned at Fast-idle position.
Hot Restart
To start an engine that is already warmed up (hot restart),
or if the ambient temperature exceeds 68°F (20°C):
1.
Pump the primer bulb until fuel can be seen flow-
ing through the fuel return line to the fuel tank.
(Flowing fuel should be almost clear, not foamy
or full of bubbles.)
2.
Move the choke lever to the open (
and move the stop switch to the "START" (ON)
position.
3.
Leave the throttle trigger in the idle position and
pull the starter grip.
4.
If the engine fails to start after three to four pulls,
follow the instruction in the Cold Starting
Procedure section (US-16).
If the engine fails to start after you follow the
above procedures, contact an authorized
MARUYAMA dealer.

To Stop The Engine:
1.
Release the throttle trigger.
2.
Slide the stop switch to the "STOP" (OFF)

Trimmer/Brushcutter Operating
Position
Before using the Trimmer/Brushcutter, check the
following::
1.
Make sure the Holding Tool (Ø3.5 or Ø6mm Pin)
has been removed from the gearcase and boss
adapter before you start the engine.
2.
The operator must be wearing the harness
attached to the Trimmer/Brushcutter, and the
Trimmer/Brushcutter must be on the operator's
right side.
3.
The operator's right hand should be holding the
right-hand throttle grip, with his or her fingers on
the throttle trigger.
