USING THE MACHINE
USING FOR THE 1ST TIME
Carefully clean the parts which come into contact with the coffee (fig. A, fig. B, fig. C and fig. D).
• Take off the lid (24), release the removable dose measurer (31) by pressing the locking
lever (30), take off the bean container (2) and the ground coffee collector (3) and wash
them with a standard dish washing product.
STARTING UP:
CARE: the coffee grinder must not be used empty. Always put coffee in the hopper and open
the shutter (6) (fig. G).
Assembly and preparation:
1. Clip the ground coffee collector (3) onto the base (4).
2. Fit the removable dose measurer (31) onto the grinder, taking care to line
it up properly with the coffee outlet (23) and to clip it on properly with the
locking pin (29).
3. Put the dose measurer lid on (24).
4. Place the bean container (2) on the grinder body adjustment nut (5).
5. Pour the roasted coffee beans into the bean container (2) and put the lid (1) on the
bean container.
6. Open the bean container shutter (6).
USING:
1. Switch the electric current on to the machine by putting the On / Off switch (11) to the 1
position (the motor starts up after 1.5 sec).
2. The coffee beans are then ground by the grindstones and the grounds come out of the
grinder unit to fill the dose measurer (31).
3. Place the filter holder under the dose measurer outlet (32) using the filter holder support
(22) to help (fig. B).
4. Pull the dose measurer handle (21) once or twice to dispense 1 or 2 measure(s) of ground
coffee.
5. Position the filter holder at the end of the filter holder support (22) below the tamper (20)
and tamp down the coffee with the tamper, pressing on the button.
Note: A 5-figure meter on the side of the dose measurer counts each dose
The motor stops automatically after 3 sec when the dose measurer is full. It starts again after
1.5 sec, after a few dose measures, when the level of ground coffee has fallen sufficiently.
Because of this, the machine can remain switched on in position 1, always subject to the
hopper being supplied with coffee.
FITTING AND REMOVING THE REMOVABLE DOSE MEASURER:
Note: If the dose measurer (31) is not properly positioned and locked onto the No. 60 coffee
grinder, it will not start. If the lid (24) with the detection paddle (14) and its magnet (19) is not
properly positioned and fitted onto the dose measurer, the No. 60 coffee grinder will not start
(fig. H).
