9.
Connecting the sun, wind and rain guards
(Pict 9.1 and 9.2)
Electrical connection of the additional parts must be
carried out by an authorised person in accordance with
the manufacturer guidelines!
While assembling the accessories (sensors, gauges), ensure that
they are placed at positions where their functioning is not hin-
dered or hampered due to accidental influences. The assembly
instructions supplied along with the accessories contain the
detailed procedure for their connection!
Always remember to conduct a function test when
connecting to automatic controls. If not, the motor may
open the awning in windy conditions and retract it in
sunshine if automatic controls are fitted.
The same applies to awnings fitted with a BiConnect
remote control. The direction of rotation can be reversed
by reprogramming the controls or simply switching the
black and brown cable cores around in the Hirschmann
plug.
The automatic function must be switched off when there is a risk
of frost.

Function test
Open and retract the unit several times. During this time, check for
the following and adjust if and when necessary:
• Position when opened and retracted,
• Does the unit close as it should and does the motor switch itself
off?
• Loud noises.
The motor has been designed to run for no more than approx.
4 min. at a time. For this reason, the thermo protector may be
triggered if the built-in motor is run several times. Depending on
the outside temperature, the motor can be operated again after
10 – 15 minutes. If any other faults arise, these must be rectified
(see Troubleshooting).
If the awning is fitted incorrectly or put into operation despite
being defective, all guarantee and warranty claims will be voided.
Check the direction of rotation on the motor if connecting to
automatic controls (e.g. the awning must retract in windy
conditions).

Branchement des détecteurs de soleil, de vent et de pluie

Le branchement électrique des éléments supplémentaires
doit être effectué par un personnel autorisé et conformé-
ment aux prescriptions du fabricant !
Lors du montage des accessoires (capteurs, sondes), il faut veiller
à ce qu'ils soient installés à des emplacements où leur fonction
n'est pas entravée ou limitée par des influences involontaires. Pour
les instructions de branchement détaillées, se référer à la notice de
montage jointe aux accessoires.
Veiller toujours à effectuer un essai de fonctionnement
lors du raccordement d'une commande automatique.
Le moteur risque autrement d'ouvrir le store lorsqu'il y a
du vent et de le fermer lorsqu'il y a du soleil!
Il en va de même pour les stores avec commande
BiConnect. Le sens de rotation peut être inversé en repro-
grammant la commande ou en inversant simplement le
fil noir et brun dans le connecteur Hirschmann.
Désactiver la fonction automatique en cas de risque de gel.

Essai de fonctionnement
L'installation doit être escamotée et déployée plusieurs fois.
Ce faisant, les points suivants doivent être contrôlés, et corrigés
si nécessaire :
• Position du store escamoté et du store déployé,
• Fermeture correcte de l'installation et arrêt du moteur,
• Bruits importants.
Étant donné sa conception, le moteur présente une durée de
marche maximale d'environ 4 min. En cas de déplacements répétés
de l'installation, la protection thermique peut alors s'enclencher.
Le cas échéant, le moteur devient à nouveau opérationnel après
10 à 15 min, selon la température extérieure. Dans le cas où
d'autres erreurs apparaissent également, il convient d'y remédier
(voir analyse des erreurs).
La garantie est annulée en cas de montage erroné ou de mise en
service du store malgré un dysfonctionnement.
Vérifier le sens de rotation du moteur en cas de raccordement à
une commande automatique (par ex. le store doit être rentré en
cas de vent).
