Product description
Control unit
The control unit contains the following elements in an impact-resistant plastic
housing: display elements and controls as well as all electronic components
for signal processing and conversion of the probe signal into a digital output
signal. The output signal is available as a voltage-free relay contact (1
changeover contact).
The product may only be used with PTC thermistor probes type 937 and type
150. The PTC thermistor probes are not included with the product.
Probe
The control unit and the PTC thermistor probe are connected by means of a
signal cable. The tip of the PTC thermistor probe is equipped with a PTC ther-
mistor. During operation, the PTC thermistor is heated; it can distinguish
between gaseous and liquid media due to the different heat dissipation.
The probe is a wearing part and must be replaced after no more than five
years.
