TRANSVERSE ROOF RACK
Attention. The transverse roof rack is intended for the
transport of loads, including large volume items (e.g. ski
boxes, bicycles, etc.). Read these instructions carefully before
installing the transverse roof rack. If you do not follow the
installation manual and safety instructions, you endanger
your safety and the safety of other road users. If you have any
questions, please, contact the Škoda Auto contractual partner.
The manual shows and describes the installation of the
transverse roof rack on the Superb Combi (NZ5) vehicle.
Follow the same procedure when mounting the transverse roof
rack on the other vehicle types listed in the manual.
Safety Instructions
The maximum allowed vehicle roof load, including the transverse roof
rack:

For safety reasons, the maximum roof load must not be exceeded!
Weight of the complete transverse roof rack set (2 pcs), type 3P0 071 151,
57H 071 151 and 5LJ 071 151 is 5,6 kg.

Crosswind sensitivity.
The car's driving and braking characteristics and its crosswind sensitivity
change. The driving style must be adapted to this. Drive carefully with the
load on the roof, do not exceed 130 km/hr.
Loading - the load's even distribution and width.
Distribute the load evenly on the transverse roof rack. Avoid one-sided

Never tighten the transverse roof rack parts against each other.
Beware of hand injury!
Failure to follow this procedure may result in scratched surface
of the cross rack and car body and, therefore, always proceed
with the utmost care.
