Spectrophotometry
Spectrophotometer CCD 2
Ref : 701 606
1. Spectrum in real time
2. Spectrum: A=f() represented at the moment t chosen using the pointer:
3. Kinetics A=f(t) represented for the wavelength value chosen using the pointer placed to
4. 3D Kinetics: A=f(t,) represented for all wavelengths and time values.
Note: the 3D curve can be rotated to choose the viewing angle of the 3D spectrum.
This experiment will allow to follow all the wavelengths as a function of time. Therefore, if
you don't know the max wavelength, you will have all the information to extract the kinetics
of the highest dynamics and thus, the best kinetics.
Additional display tool, the green square will allow you to represent in large the desired
inset. By clicking again on the desired square, go back to the representation in 4 areas.
The first step consists in calibrating the device. For this, it is recommended to keep the
integration time automatic adjustment.
Place your vessel filled with solvent to measure the reference spectrum. Make sure
that no filter is placed in the vessel carrier.
Note: the device also measures the black to avoid saving the optical sound that could
disturb the measurement.

If, by clicking on calibration, the device refuses the calibration because of « lack of light»,
you must verify that the lamp is on through the apertures and then check the spectrum
emitted (tab 1).
If the light is off, leave the software, and then unplug and repeat the calibration. If it stays
off, contact our After-Sales Service (see last chapter of this manual).
If the light is on, go to tab 1: spectrum emitted and check the pace of the spectrum emitted.
Repeat the calibration step. If after several tests, the calibration is not accepted by the
device, contact our After-Sales Service having the curve emitted and the screenshot
showing the inaction.

Did you wait for 20 minutes before starting with the calibration?
