• Regularly inspect pressing attachments for
defects and damage before and after every use.
Inspect the pressing attachments particularly for
incipient cracks in the pressing contour and on
the flanges.
• If there are incipient cracks: take the pressing
attachments out of service immediately, label
them as defective and do not use them again.
Avoiding damage to Geberit pressing
attachments caused by faulty pressing
operations
Geberit pressing attachments (pressing jaws,
pressing collars, adapter jaws) can be damaged
by faulty pressing operations or use; for example,
by being pressed by foreign bodies.
• Do not tilt the pressing attachments on the
pressfitting.
• Hook the claws of the adapter jaw into the
pressing collar correctly.
• If you suspect that the pressing attachments are
damaged (for example, if sharp edges appear
on the pressfitting after the pressing procedure),
they must be replaced.
