USER INSTRUCTIONS
The ventilation unit must be inspected periodically for contamination.
Before inspection, the ventilation unit must be turned off by unplugging the
power cord. The ventilation unit contains rotating mechanical parts. When
you unplug the unit, these parts continue to rotate for a few seconds.
Therefore, wait about 20 seconds after turning off the ventilation unit so
that the components are stationary.
Make sure the plug cannot be put back into the outlet by anyone else
until you have finished working on the unit. Only insert the plug into
the socket when the ventilation unit has been installed and all its parts
have been reassembled.
Vasco declines all responsibility for damage caused by non-compliance
with safety instructions or non-compliance with instructions provided in
this manual.
Warranty conditions can be found on page 33 of
this manual.
1.
The heat exchanger with very high efficiency ensures optimal heat
transfer from the warm used exhaust air to the cooler fresh outside air.
The two air flows do not come into contact with one another. By
contrast, during a warm period the heat exchanger will cool off the
warm outdoor air with the cooler indoor air.
2.
The ventilation unit has a modulating by-pass (0-100%) with which
the temperature of the supply air is controlled. This modulating by-
pass ensures optimal control of the amount of heat recovered as a
function of the outside temperature.
3.
Air filters are provided in the two air streams that have a dual function.
The first function is to filter the fresh air. The second function is to
protect the complete ventilation unit and fresh air distribution channels
from contamination. A type F7 air filter is provided as standard on the
supply side and a G4 air filter on the exhaust side.
4.
The two energy-efficient direct current fans supply fresh outside air
to the living room and bedrooms, on the one hand, and remove
polluted inside air from the kitchen, bathroom, toilet(s) and possibly
the storage room, on the other.
The unique Vasco control of the fans ensures that the ventilation unit
has constant volume control.
I.e., the set air volume is controlled automatically.
