1.3 Safety instructions - precautions for use :
The installation and maintenance of this equipment must be carried out by qualified personnel.
The mains power supply should be installed inside a case that will ensure protection against
electrical shocks.
The power supply is connected to the 230 V mains. The installation must observe the standard
IEC 364.
Provide a live neutral circuit breaker 16 A max., rapidly accessible upstream of the power line.
This circuit breaker must be switched off during maintenance.
This equipment must be fixed before powering it up.
Important: before any installation, carefully read this manual and refer to paragraph "Technical
specifications" page 35.
This product is suitable for installation in a residential, commercial or light industrial
environment.
II - INTRODUCTION TO THE OPALYS CLOCK
The Opalys 14 clock is a calendar clock for indoor use.
It displays the hours (in 12 hr or 24 hr mode), minutes and date. It automatically manages
summer-winter time changeovers.
An ECO function enables the display to be switched off at night between 11pm and 6am.
It has three menus for making adjustments :
- the time setting menu ;
- the configuration menu ;
- the technician menu, which is reserved for maintenance personnel.
Adjustments can be made using the two push buttons [SEL] and [+] located on the back of the
clock.
