Transmission Installation
The installation of the transmission to the engine is covered in the Transmission Installation Kit from
Chevrolet Performance. The installation instructions can be obtained at www.chevroletperformance.com.
Oil Cooler Adapter Installation
Install the oil cooler as shown if desired. A transmission oil cooler is required for proper operation under all
conditions and the oil cooler adapter may be used to facilitate the installation of cooler lines. If used, the
cooler can be installed in either orientation with the seal. Torque the bolt to 22 Nm (16 lb ft).
Vent Tube Installation
Install the vent tube as shown.
Connect the short open end onto the vent tube on the transmission. The vent assembly should be mounted
as high as possible. The enclosed bracket can be mounted to the top of the transmission to engine
attachment bolt to facilitate the mounting of the vent. The long open end of the vent tube assembly should be routed away from any heat source
or rotating part.
